Classification of expensive Moscow premises is based on world standards and can be subdivided into “A”, “B” and “C” categories.
“A” category is the highest. The premises are known as “de luxe”. The main features: location in historical parts of Moscow, no more than 40 apartments in a building, only respective inhabitants are allowed to live there. As a rule, it is a monolit building structure with inner and outer walls made of brick. It always has a fenced and guarded territory, underground parking. Ceilings are no less than 3,2 meters high. Central air conditioning, water and air filtration systems are installed, as well as boiler system. Each building of “A” category has 24-hour professional security and developed infrastructure, which facilitates inhabitant’s lives considerably. Apartments in such buildings are 100 square meters or more. One can find penthouses and two-level flats here. The main locations are: Ostozhenka and Molchanovka streets, 1-st Zachatievsky, Bolshoy Levshinsky, Molochny, Butikovsky, Brusov, 1st and 2-d Obydensky lanes, Arbat and Patriarshy Pond areas. Living complexes which are considered to be “A” class are the following: “OPERA-House”, “Patriarkh”, “Kopernik”, “New Ostozhenka”, “Cooper-House”, “Torris-House”, “Vienna House” , “Dom nad Vodoy” (“Water House”), “Gruber House” and “Dvoryanskoye Gnezdo”, “Stolnik”.
“B” category is distinguished by the big number of flats (up to 80) in an each building and no infrastructure. Generally situated in quiet areas within Sadovoye Ring. This category includes new buildings as well as old ones. For instance, it can be a reconstructed old building. Such buildings are mostly located in Zamoskvorechie, Tverskaya, Polianka areas, also on Moscow River embankments. The main builder is “Don Stroy”. The most well-known complexes are “Kamelot”, “Posolskoye Podvorje”, “Zolotye Kluchi-1”, “Onegin”, “Agalarov House”.
“C” category includes new monolit buildings, built in accordance with new technologies with an improved lay-out. Underground and guest parking, security, children playgrounds and developed infrastructure are obligatory. “C” category buildings are located in ecologically clean areas: Stroginskaya Poima, Krylatskoye, South-Western area, etc. “DON Stroy”, “MIRAX” and “Inteco” are the main building companies. “Sozvezdie Capital”, “Vorobievy Gory”, “Alui Parusa”, “Dve Bashni”, “Kutuzovskaya Riviera”, “Zolotye Kluchi-2”, “Korona”, “MIRAX-Park” are the most popular.
